yes used that many times for my model A s works like a champ

maybe some of the guys on here that racedthese engines will have a good idea on porting and valve sizes that worked well????

I havw used Pinesol to clean my carbs and fuel pumps and rinced them off in a good cleaning solvent it worked very well

I believe the model A style lifters have a lock nut on them

I beleive the 40-47 truck is the same as the 40 car

Why not use the Model A set up?? They used them in the early sprint cars and ran twice the HP of a flathead V-8

Henry for the sender to work it needs a good ground if the threads are dirty or rusty or painted trouble will follow

If the motor is not stuck 6 years is not too long I started and ran a 33 ford truck that had not ran for 50 years change the oil belts hoses clean carb and pump and tank go for it sounds good to me
