    Flathead conundrum.

Man, that is a lot of stuff to take in order to get a few engines. Maybe the seller will change his tune a bit when no one takes the entire lot. Just dealing with those three trucks would be enough for me to say no thanks.

    8RT Hop up

Sure thing, Tony. I'll send them to you. May not be until early next week.

    8RT Hop up

Yes, your cam can be reground to a different grind if you'd like. There is a cam grinder in CA that will grind the 8CM Merc specs but with more lift (.380"). I have one of these grinds for a 59AB. Seems like it gives you the best of both worlds. A "hot" stock/production cam with more...

    The Merc

Came to say this. If you have an induction heating bolt busting tool, even better. Heat, cool, soak. Heat, cool, soak. Also, a trick I've learned is to tighten the bolt ever so slightly at first before trying to back it out. Sometimes working it back and forth ever so slightly to help...

    Who went to Hershey?

More Europeans attended this year than the previous few years. Like Kurt said, it was an odd flow of people coming and going. The weather was the best it's been in years, which surprised me for the relatively low turn out in my opinion. I'm 55 and this was my 45th year. Planning on...

    Stromberg 48s or 97s?

Well, two 48's will give you approx. 50 CFM more vs. two 97's. I have a friend who has a 276" with a SCOT blower, mild cam. He runs two of those large 97 carbs with are 250 CFM each. All indications are telling him that they are working correctly with his combo. I would lean toward more...

    Torque tube cap

Wow. Interesting. I guess the final welding of the banjo mating flange was last in order to slip the one piece unit over the torque tube. Never seen one like that before.

Surficial anodes in the cooling system (again)!

What are you talking about? I was responding to someone's comment. I sent you a DM to keep this off line.

Third Gen Auto Open house sale / swap meet

Love the idea. Let me Google map it. May make the trip if the schedule allows.

Surficial anodes in the cooling system (again)!

Me as well. I always highly recommend their products.

    Prices are certainly down

There is something fishy about the Model A coupe sale. No way someone would pay $251K for a Model A hot rod with not that special of running gear. I think this was a money laundering deal.

    cooling system flush

Big, big fan of Norosion's line of products. They make a flush that also etches and "primes" the cast iron inside the block. I run water and, when I drain it in winter comes, the water comes out as clear as it went in. I highly recommend their products. Here is their website...

Could it be that the AACA is slowly accepting hot rods? The wheels on that wagon certainly look a lot like Astro Supremes to me....

Tech Breakdown of Factory Valve Relief

Dale, how deep are those relief cuts? Hard to tell in the pictures. Thanks
