I finally got top bots out with a thinwall socket, a breaker bar extend with a steel pipe. For the bottom bolt I had to cut the mounts in half with a sawzall and carbide blade....took a monster amount of torque to get them to move...now for rear float-a-mount...
Thanks...I can fit my thin-wall socket on the top bolt but there isn't enough space for the bottom bolts...These bolts have been there a long time...one place I read said use a 6" adjustable wrench on the bottom bolt....people have changed engines forever and Im surprised there isn't more...
I can not get the bolts holding rear motor mount to clutch housing out...ordered a thin wall socket which goes on the top bolt but socket wrench won't budge it....any secret here I don't know about
I was putting a new radius ball kit in....in putting in the new bolts in from hole, i had a string tied to the bolt through the cotter pin hole , it broke and the bolt has fallen forward toward the flywheel. I don't know if it has gone under the flywheel or lodged against it....I can not get...
I received 2 extra carburetors with my Model A....neither one has a brand name..The one on the left has "model XF" the other has "Made in the USA"...
Can anybody help me identify the carbs?...thanks in advance
I am building a speedster with a wooden dash. I am not using a pop-out switch. Im using a pull out-push in switch. Im using basic Model A wiring, 12 volt, negative ground....My question is where do the two wires(red wire to coil and armored cable to distributor ) that go to a pop-out switch now...
