    Brake shoe rubbing on drum

I bought my 30' Model A with hydraulic brakes already installed, I'm having trouble with the L rear brake shoe hitting the drum and getting hot. I put in a new shim to get the drum off the backing plate, which did help free up the wheel before it wouldn't spin at all. Besides the 2 adjustments...

    Won't stay running

Ok, resolved the problem after cleaning the carburetor, and checking the flow of gas from the tank. Drum rolls please…….it was the on/off gas switch, the nut wasn’t tight and it wasn’t opening all the way to let enough gas flow. Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

    Grounding issue

I do not have the fuse yet, will be ordering that. I did notice the ignition cable has a plastic type sleeve on it that slides up and down, I was not sure what it was, maybe that is supposed to be down in the terminal box like where the grommet would be. I was planning on getting the dash wiring...

    Grounding issue

Ok, so I sanded the frame under the ground strap (for good contact) even installed a new bolt, added an additional ground as suggested above, printed out a Model A wiring diagram and rewired all the wires to the terminal box. As a test I just had the instrument panel outside the car on the tank...

    Fender patch for light bar

1930- there is some cracking starting around the bolt holes, someone mentioned there was a support to strengthen the fender. There is a reinforcing plate for the tail light, so I thought there was one for the light bar. I did not realized the patch was a repair for broken or rusted out fender.

    Fender patch for light bar

Has anyone used the fender patch for the light bar mount to the front fenders to keep fender from cracking at bolt holes?

    Gas drip on firewall

Is there a way to stop the drip of gas that runs down the firewall where the gas line runs through the firewall to the glass sediment bowl assembly, I’ve tried several times to thread the fitting making sure it was on straight.

    Won't stay running

I got my Model A to start after sitting for 1 year, but it only runs for 30 seconds and dies. I have fuel getting to the carburetor because it comes out of the airflow when choking (after repeated restarts). I also see a gas stain that has formed on the engine at the manifold line, probably...

    Grounding issue

So, I disconnected the speedometer cable from the instrument panel and the firewall placed it on the ground under the car. When the instrument panel was hanging by the wires it touched the gear shift and sparked, so it must not be directly related to the cable. I will checked the wires coming...

    Grounding issue

I have a 1930 Coupe that’s been sitting for a year while working on restoration, I just tried starting it and it won’t start. I removed the instrument panel to check if I got all the wires connected to the ignition and amp and the speedometer cable sparked off the firewall and proceeded to get...
