I need help to solve an ignition issue. I use a stock 1935 distributor with an external coil and I got a clear blue spark at the sparkplugs. Tested on the sparkplug wires. I also checked the sparkplugs today and found 2 not working - number 3 and 6. I’m using Champion D16 but I ordered 8...

Replaced sparkplug 7 and 8. Will take rpm now but now I got a lot of popping out of the exhaust. I'm using Champion D16 plugs actually not great as I need to replace them quite regularly. What can cause the popping ?

Cleaned and checked vacuum connection. Sparkplugs are covered in black sod except from number 7 and 8. They are wet and properly not working or not getting a spark. Left bank is not as hot as the right bank. Am I running to rich due to the black plugs? I got a set of 0.048 jets.

Im sure the sparkplug wires are connected correct but I will check again :-) The shop told me it was ready to go. They adjusted the lifters. Sticky valves could be the problem - will try som MMO. The condenser is new but I will try exchange it with my spare. Will post update..

Solved - it was as simple as a bad battery. Battery is only one year old. Replaced it with a new with more amp.
