Recently purchased a 31 Roadster without side curtains. I have been able thru a friend to get samples to have them made. My question is this: how far dose the rod fit it the door and should it lock in place and not rotate. Mine stay about 3/4' above the door when inserted and can be rotated...

Are you sure the starter bendix is not jammed against the ring gear?

I got 15,000 miles on my set of Firestones, Mostly highway high speed driving.

The trailer size needs to match the tow vehicle also. Make sure you have enough horsepower to pull a bigger and wider trailer. Lots of wind resistance on the higher trailers. Ask me how I know!

Don.t forget about the door opening. Make sure it is tall enough to fit the "A" in.

Are you sure the distributor is full seated in the head?

Thanks for the diagram. Thats how my three piece brake shaft is, but I don' have seperate emergency brake system. Looks like all that is there is the support brackets at the frame. Going to rework them to take out the excess play.

When i did a test about three years ago with water wetter by a company with Purple in their name, don' recall exact name they advertise 5 to 8' cooler than 5o-5o antifreeze. I got 5 degrees cooler on long trips in 98 degree weather.

I also have mine set at 3-5 amps. I don't drive at night, but do take long trips. I find this setting to perfect. I don't have to add water to the battery. I don't like to over charge, plus it can cook the water out of your battery.
