can a model a splash pan be used in a model b oil pan, in a model B engine with a counter balanced crank?

what I am trying to do is put a model a windage tray in a model b engine. I do not have the correct model b windage tray. I do have the correct oil pan and shield.I had a model b engine with a model a early 28-29 pan on it.It does not have the counter balance crank. This was a running engine. steve

In another post we talked about model B oil inter splash pan., some has holes some did not. My question is can any tray be used on a model B engine? Does it have to be the lower tray ? steve

need pictures of the side of the oil splash pan,where the bumps that go into the pan are. B is suppose to be lower sitting in the pan. need to see the difference by comparison side to side. thanks steve in tampa

I do not want to take my gas tank out to clean it. I want to fill it with vinegar . I do not know how long to let it soak, any ideas ? Has anybody done this, how much mess does this make on top of the tank ? thanks, steve
