i am getting ready change the oil in my old toro. it has a rather large oil pan plug.will the oil-pump fall out if i take it out? i don't need any supersizes.

yes, it can be done. I just finished up putting in the 2 sector bearings in from the engine compartment. once you take the steering wheel collum down you can pull and twist the collum anywhere you want it. Mr. terry I think you misunderstood my question. I did not mean the steering wheel shaft but only the 7 tooth sector shaft. the only 2 things it might hit is first the starter and if it gets by the starter then it could hit the motor block. I hope this helps.

can the 7 tooth sector shaft be removed from the steering box without removing anything from the frame or motor?

i did check the temperature it was 140-160 f. the coolant seams to stay at the top of the radiator tubs. i thought about the head gasket but wanted other opinon's
