What is the best powder to use inside of a tire and inner tube?

Pure old school talc can be found on Amazon. Anything with cornstarch is going to feed mold/fungus microbes.

    1930 Cabriolet door handle removal

When you put it back together, replace the original solid pin with a modern roll pin. It'll be a lot easier to get out next time while still staying securely in place.

Turn Signal Flashers Not Holding Up - Fixed - See Post 23

How tight is the wiring into the turn signal switch? I installed turn signals on my car and had everything working perfectly so I then tidied up all the wires nice and pretty. Indicator light on the switch stopped working on right hand turns. Dang it! Stoopid piece of junk switch! Everything...

    Steering Wheel luster

I tried all the methods listed by the other guys. Still got black hands. Two things work: paint it (like my buddy did his) or, like I did, cover it. This one from amazon fits a Model A...and if you decide you don't like it, it's easy to undo...

    Radial tires and inner tubes

I keep my car as original looking as I can (no alternator, single taillight, etc.) but the steering improvement of the radials was too much to pass up. I also want to maintain the metal valve stems. Only one tube is available with the original-look metal stems, however, and it isn't marked for...

    Carburetor leaking

I had a leaky carb make me nuts for weeks when i first got my A400. About half the time I'd walk away from the car I'd come back to a huge fuel puddle underneath. I installed a new Viton needle/seat but could not get it to seal reliably. I built the rig shown in the photo to be sure the float...

    Distributor Cap Advance Lever Slot

Be sure to check the width of the advance arm on the upper distributor plate. I bought a new upper plate and found the advance arm was much wider than my original which reduces the available advance travel.

    Fuse blowing

When i first got my Model A a year and a half ago, I was going nuts with "blown" fuses. Probably a dozen of them. Discovered that the fuses were junk. Two different batches of them. With the fuse holder mounted on the starter, the fuse would get hot enough that the metal end cap would detach...
