where to get a fuel pump 1952 8BA

Got the Fuel Pump from Rock Auto, USMW Professional Series # USMP02065 578 Mechanical Fuel Pump. The first thing I noticed, It did not have the same standard pipe or flare fittings I expected and my box of various fittings did not mate with it. I spent some time trying to find a diagram and...

    Fuel pump help needed

That pump looks just like the one I just bought from Rock Auto. It had 1/2-20 straight fine threads. I thought that was odd since any of my original pumps across different auto manufactures had pipe threads or inverse flare. Had to spend $30 for unique fittings.

where to get a fuel pump 1952 8BA

Ordered the Rock Auto Pump Thanks for the Contact Info on Charlie, That's who I got it from 4 years ago but never tried it until now. I actually have a coffee can with a fitting on the bottom that would replicate the "Model A" temp gas can. For the life of me I can't remember what I used it...

where to get a fuel pump 1952 8BA

I did the same on google. Dennis carpenter is out of stock according to his website, Concourse does have the standard pump listed and Speedway is out. The tank is 1 foot higher than the fuel pump with a 1.5 ft tube. I will send a message to Karl as I am only 70 miles away in San Jose.

where to get a fuel pump 1952 8BA

I got a dual action fuel pump from a member in 2022. I just went to start my rebuilt engine for the first time and the fuel pump isn't sucking any gas.The engine is on a stand and the gas is in a container that I have used several times for a fuel source on engines without a gas tank. Right now...

    posable scram

I was looking for an air cleaner to fit a teapot carb and found a guy selling some T bird parts. Messaged back and forth as he said the parts were at his Dad's 20 miles from me. I asked if I could go look at them to verify fit. That's when the communication stopped. I eventually got one from a...

    OD Solenoid seal clarification needed

Bringing back a thread that didn't spark a lot of interest. But I hate being left hanging and wondering how a problem got solved. And someone might mess up like I did in the future. I ordered two O rings from McMaster-Carr, a square profile and a round profile. The square was too small and the...

    Death of a tool??

I often have to stop a project to get the right tool. My wife thinks that is so funny. She came from Vietnam. She also working in US manufacturing in her 20s so she knows the benefit of having the right tool. Back in Vietnam, the right tools were not available for most tasks. Pliers were used...

    OD Solenoid seal clarification needed

I see how I messed up. I dug out the seal in the solenoid unit itself. Now I have to disassemble it to get all the original seal out and take a measurement. I saw in an old post that Mac Van Pelt had those seals at one time but does not repair solenoids now. Anyone know a p/n or someone who...

    OD Solenoid seal clarification needed

I am working on a 1952 R10 Overdrive. I have read Info from Mac VP, Randy Rundle and various posts to get me more familiar. My 52 Crestline had the OD R10 transmission mounted to the dead 8BA in the car when I got it. I am getting ready to reinstall the 12V Solenoid Into the R10 on the...

    REM Auto Parts Inc

Got my refund from Collectors Auto Supply Today. Believe it or not at my advanced age I know how to use Google.(tongue in cheek). I saw a few with Uncolored door panel board. They are relatively stiff. I have some precut for the Ford that I will measure the thickness and test the bendability. I...

next question , long distance payment

I usually include an automotive side trip on vacations. Got a kick out of seeing right hand drive Chevrolets and Fords in Australia so a flight to view the car is a great idea. Taking the wife helps get her buy in as well. Wiring funds works too.

Persistent Fuel Leak - Sediment Bowl Inlet

Are you sure the female end where the tubing goes in isn't just a pipe thread? I have several generic fuel filters that are that way. They need a brass male pipe thread to Compression or flare fitting. These are not Fords. My Ford fuel pump has a barbed fitting for a flex gas line and a pipe...
