    '34 Fordor Dlx Overheating

Wow! Worked, not like a charm, but good enough to get enough separation to rock the head to get it past the studs. Now head is off, not crack found in block, gasket looks pretty good though one center water jacket and one perimeter metal ring separated from gasket upon removal. Pistons each...

    '34 Fordor Dlx Overheating

Ok, head bolts off and head doesn't budge. In a different post it was suggested to leave plugs in, loosen head nuts a few turns and run the starter motor.... head pops loose. The theory seems reasonable. How about in practice???

This is what I have for each pump. Poke bulb through firewall grommet, bulb slips into dummy plug hole, attached sealing nut threaded right in with no adapter needed ( though 3 sizes included). Secured sender cable to plug wire tubes ( I used black zip ties).Works to my satisfaction. I do not...

Given that.... Is there a reason to remove the water pump from the head, opposed to removing together in one piece?

'34 with Oil Filter Canister Hoses

Greetings, At some point, my grandfather installed a Fram (?) oil filter canister on his '34 Fordor deluxe. I have a number of filters, but the intake and exit hoses are suspiciously hard. Are there specific replacement hoses available, or does one just "find what fits best"? If specifically...

I removed the belt and upper hoses and filled block with water. Unfortunately, the right side bubbled and spit vigorously after about 2 minutes. Left side started to bubble slightly but stopped after right side went nuts. I have one copper gasket. Unless one can give me a reason to wait for a...

Heads are cast iron (original) There has always been a minimal amount of water (<1/8 cup) and white smoke from the tail pipe at initial start but stops within first minute. Not sure how you guys get a good seal using the radiator Compression Leak Detector. My radiator has an overflow tube in...

1934 Fordor Rear Quarter Window Felt

Greetings, I need to replace the anti-rattle felt and forward vertical channel in my 1934 Fordor Deluxe Sedan. Numerous calls to the regular parts houses come up empty for kits. The forward vertical channel seems easy enough to source. However I am having difficulty sourcing the the body window...
