    Which one should I use?

My daughter has a 56 bird that needs a solenoid. I have 3 old ones. Questions are: How can I tell if a solenoid is for 6 Volts or 12 volts? How can I test a solenoid to see if it is good or not? Thanks in advance for the help.

    Shocking Information

I can't understand some of your numbers because I don't do electricity well. I do very well understand some of the problems a person can have. I am at 88 years old. I know that some younger people do not understand the things that happen as age creeps up on us. I'm not sure I do either, but I...

    Dot 5 problems

I have heard of problems with Dot 5 brake fluid, where the stop light switch would leak fluid after a period or use. It appears that seal inside the switch would start to leak and you would lose fluid. Any of you had that problem?

    Speed bleeder screws '36 Sedan

There are many items on Fordbarn about Speed Bleeder screws, and I have few questions. I don't know what year my brake system is, probably 40's. Does anybody like other brands, like Dorman or is Russell Speed Bleeder the best? Does anyone know the size or part number that's likely to fit...

Steering wheel lock stuck on a '36

Rich b, you hit it on the head. The lock cylinder (key) wasn't quite in the proper position. When I moved the key a bit, the ignition switch worked like a charm! Thanks to all who offered advice. It made my day.

Steering wheel lock stuck on a '36

My steering wheel is locked, can't turn the front wheels side-to-side. The actual switch lever is positioned between ON and OFF. It must be in the off mode because there is no fire to the engine. The keyed cylinder doesn't seem to be involved. Has anyone had such a problem? What to do...

59 A-B oil filter mount question

    Identify this truck?

If it was a CCC truck, it was most likely the cheapest the Gov't could buy. I noticed that the back end of the running board extends just a bit farther on the Chevy but I don't know if that helps identify the truck.

I am 87. I'm neither proud nor ashamed of it. "It is what it is." (I would like to be 20-30 years younger. Probably won't happen.)

Help with radiator hoses and stats

'36 radiator and '48 (59AB) engine in a 36 tudor. Does anyone remember who is producing/selling a radiator hose kit that fits this rad/engine combination? One of my flexible hoses has sprung a leak, so both hoses (and connecting pipes) must be replaced. Also, what are the best 180 stats for...
