I believe your right. so I ordered a 39 clutch release arm. After removing the extension piece it looks like they just might line up. I had another guy look at the pedal system and he also said there is no bushings and things fit to snug for any bushing. I don't Know what to say about that. I...

Someone added an 1.5 inch extension for the brake linkage. Putting more pressure on the pedal rod. The transmission clutch arm for the 39 leans to the left, would that kick it over by 1.5" ? Or would I be better off getting a complete Brake and clutch assembly for a 1939 with the transmission...

I don't see any bushings nor is there enough room for them.

I believe I found the problem. The bushing in the mounting plate to the pedals is bad. pressure on either pedal puts the clutch pedal in a bind ( as it rides against the mounting plate). I don't understand why it would be worse when the motor was running, But thats what was happening. Now to...

I have no idea. I did not notice it before you mentioned it.

That is part of the problem. The smaller rubber had shoulders on both sides, so I did cut it off one side. That didn't help much. The larger rubber is 3/8ths to tall. Once they are together there is no threads left to install them.
