Flint Mi.Membership Meet and Water Situation.

After reading this post, I would have hoped that there would have been a bit more sympathy for the poor folks of Flint who now will never know, whether or not, that they or their children have effects from lead poisoning. Let's not forget that their home values have dropped to nothing, in...

    Turn signal harness retainer

What do you guys use to fasten the turn signal harness to the steering column? I would like to avoid tape or zip-ties. Maybe something that looks period correct.

    Ethanol laced fuel and Climate

The issue in hot summer temps is more that modern fuel is formulated for winter & summer. Most of us do not drive enough to run a few tanks of winter gas out of the tanks and then comes a 90 degree F(35c) day in late March or April. The fuel vaporizes too fast and what appears as vapor lock...

    Late '31 Tudor Front Floormat

I too have carpet in my Tudor deluxe ( they came with carpet). Is your carpet held down with button snaps. The female snaps are screwed/nailed into the floor boards then a unusual style male snap button is fastened to the carpet. Check out Brattons or LeBaron Bonney. Their catalogs show what I...

    smart signals

Well I emailed him a few weeks ago and never got a reply. I ordered a set in November of 2013 , upon one of our members advising Ford Barners how well he liked his set.. So I called John and sent a $25 deposit. But, John ran out of units, and he promised me that he would have 'em buy March...

    Adjustable seat

The Tudor Deluxe >June 1931 had a adjustable seat similar to the 1932 models. They can be added to standard Tudors. Check Brattons catalog. Also the Victorias had adjustable seats as well.

    Vehicle Braking

I may be dancing in the dark. I do agree the logical explanation are the steel drums. I warped one of my rears coming down from the Pikes Peak Meet a few years ago. I then went to all cast iron, since the steel drums were borderline anyway. But, once, some time ago, while reassembling the front...

    Tudor mats/carpet

G'day Gus. The Tudors did not have carpeting until June of 1931 with the arrival of the Tudor Deluxe. I have a Deluxe 31. The carpet extends 5 1/2"inches(14cm) back from the passenger seat pivot bolt. That front carpet overlaps the rear by and inch or two. That measurement would extend across...

    headlights

Geoff, Do you have turn signals? If not, consider leaving the 2 bulb reflector & use the cowl lights for front signals. I just installed Brattons aluminum reflectors. They are good, but the reflective coating is fragile. Use surgical gloves, to avoid marks from the oils in your fingers, when...

What is considered the Proper Brake adjustments

No Chrysler product ever had mechanical brakes... always hydraulic. Only the last year of Maxwell, then owned by WPC were not hydraulic. Chevy went to hydraulic in 1936, before 1936 they were cable mechanical.

    Brake Adjustment

That is why I said "here we go". Thanks Marco for showing the 1932 bulletin: In 1932 Ford changed the leverage to an equal 50/50. If I recall correctly they said to adjust the brakes so all four would skid under hard braking at 25 mph. Having a specific speed was a necessary point of...
