I have to replace the insulation in my '40 Lincoln Cabriolet, do any of you have a recommended supplier? What do you guys recommend for floor insulation under the carpet? I sure see a lot of sound and heat product out there and wonder what is the best from your experience.

I need the three mounting brackets for a 1953, 317 cubic inch Lincoln/Ford Y Block, I cannot find any on ebay, Mark II does not have them, where else should I look. Thanks, as you guys know the later Y Block brackets will not work. Ron

Hey, it is a Ford product and has a flat head in it or at least it will. My car is undergoing body and paint work to restore it to the original Capri Blue color that she departed the factory with so many years ago. It was delivered with the standard interior, not gold trim, and the dash appears...
I have to replace the seal on my '40 Lincoln U-Joint housing cap and am interested in where I could purchase the tubing that the guys were talking about in 2010 and purchased from Hot Rod John. If any of you have an update in your experience with the tubing or can offer advice on the best way...
I use LED replacements on my early 12v cars for safety because they are so much brighter. I did a search on this forum for lights to replace the 6 volt taillights in my '40 Lincoln but got no hits. Does anybody know if they are making them for our early cars?
Thanks again, I have access to a hydraulic press and it appears that a deep 3/4" deep socket might do the trick. Will the pins rotate enough after installation to connect to the shackle bar's square holes or do they need to be set on pressing in?
Thank you gentlemen, I did use a porta power to remove the axle and have ordered the original pins to install. Good tip on the K R Wilson tool, I will try to find one.
I am reinstalling the Columbia/rear axle assembly in my '40 Lincoln and realized that the shackle studs and bars need to be replaced. They were loose when I extracted them, on installation how do I orient the stud so that it will mate up with the bar on both the spring and the axle? Also, any...
Thanks good tip, I am also going to replace the clutch assembly while I have this thing in pieces. This whole process started by removing the rear axle/non-functioning Columbia two speed to have John Connelly do his magic.
I need to find an expert to rebuild my '40 Lincoln transmission which pops out of second gear every time that I back off of the throttle. Have any of you had a good experience with somebody in Southern Arizona that you would recommend?
Yes Sir, I use the LZOC frequently with good results but Ford Barn seems a lot more active and our vehicles are very similar, and in some cases, using the exact same parts.
