    Where is your allegiance?

My A has been reliable for 14 years and has not been asking for parts. BUT last week it wanted some $$$ sprinkled on it. I ordered 2 parts from Snyders and got them delivered to me in Calif within three days. It has now been over a week and the parts ordered from a vendor 300 miles away still...

    two man job

Gee I guess there is a knack to it. I just use the same common sense as when I use the starter. Apply parking brake, shift to neutral, retard spark, then get out, insert crank, keep thumb out of the way, and keep my hand on the "outside" of the circle of rotation. I grew up around...

You didn't state what year you have, but I would be THRILLED to have only one inch of play!

Brassworks radiator owners - How close is your fan blade to the upper neck?

I happen to live within 30 miles of the Brassworks. Yes the current owner bought the business 4 years ago and moved it from SLO due to an unfriendly business atmosphere. Radiators is actually a sideline business and like many other companies they are having a difficult time getting...

    Poor Quality Replacement Parts

Cam lube is a good idea on break-in. Also instructions on performance cams recommend staring the engine, immediatly rev to at least 1500 rpm and hold that rpm for a few minutes. Rotella oil and Rotella T don't have zddp any more. If you want oil with ZDDP in it go to your local motercycle shop!

How do I get the *&%#@ Distributor out???

Success After soaking the area in Kroil overnight, putting tension on the parts with a couple of well-placed chisels and applying a little heat it moved a little. A little more heat and a lot of pressure and it came out!!!! Patience and an oxy-acy torch helped.

Halogen Bulbs what is need to convert IF Anything

What condition are your reflectors in? If they are chrome plated, relpace them with silvered or aluminum oxide reflectors. (the aluminum wont oxidize) The chrome refectors only have about 60% of the reflective ability of silver! Bill

How do I get the *&%#@ Distributor out???

I have been playing with "A"'s for over 40 years and know most of their tricks. BUT I have to have my roadster pickup running in two weeks and I have no spare time. The dist shaft is seized and won't turn. I pulled the side cover and the drive gear assy turns but the upper shaft does not...
