    Salvageable or Not!

To salvage that cracked cylinder, it would have to be welded, then bored, and then sleeved to save just that part. Thinking the $$$ for that would put you a ways down the road for a good block to begin your project with!!;)

    Convertible top hydraulic lines

While I know you asked about running new lines, I think it's worth mentioning that if you're rebuilding the hydraulic (original) system, go with ATF instead of the original brake fluid approach. And, if you're disassembling the original system with brake fluid in it, be VERY careful!!! You...

    57 y block

I bought that one that Mike posted the link to above and that's my rating of the tool. It worked flawlessly and I'd not pulled a damper/pulley from a Y Block before, so for me it was a good value and tool investment!! Best of luck. Dick.

    Alternator

Check out the one at CASCO . I have that one on my '56 T Bird and it's worked very well for me. As noted above, not cheap....$289...easy to bolt on and wire up.

    Best 1956 Fairlane radiator?

Agree with Mike above. Think a check at the top and bottom with an Infared thermometer could give you a better sense of what's going on vs. the dash gauge. Would be a nice result to find that your current radiator etc. is doing just fine!!!:)

This is how you sell a Ford …

Re: This is how you sell a Ford … Great outcome. The seller's videos were exceptional...especially the "cold start" one!!!

This is how you sell a Ford …

Re: This is how you sell a Ford … I think the Art Dr. has sized up BaT perfectly! I sold my '27 T hot rod and my '47 Super Deluxe Convertible there, however, because it is a venue that gets a lot of exposure. As noted, it seems to be a younger buyer's marketplace...and yes, they are not...

    Kultulz MIA?

Feel the same way about hoping he will come back. He sure knows his stuff and how to do a deep dive into the technical aspects of a problem or an assembly.
