I'm looking for a nice 30-31 Model A phaeton (2 or 4 door). I am looking to trade a nice older restoration 1930 American Austin. Please post a reply and PM me with what you have. Sometimes I don't get notifications on here.
Thanks!
Thank you all very much for your thoughts. Apparently, these are not necessary when the cars are being judged years ago. I'm still interested in pursuing the idea. Thankfully the one I need to reproduce is flat, so it shouldn't be to difficult to form the shape. It seems to be a matter of...
Rob,
Thank you for the heads up. They don't have a lot on their site, but this sounds promising: "FIRE WALL PADS - Assembled using heavy fiberboard with thick fiberglass insulation or jute adhered to the back. All holes are pre-cut providing easy installation."...
Hi Jim, Is this the place you were talking about? https://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~dyndetail~Z5Z5Z50000051e~Z5Z5Z516438~P94.95~~~~S5EJ0WR38T15120705166b~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50000051e

I am working on restoring a non Ford car which requires firewall insulation. It is a composite of a black paper board and a tan fibrous material. The closest thing I have been able to find is the material used on this 1932 Ford pictured on this site...
Thank you very much for the information Blucar. I wonder if the handle I have is one which was used at the time. The shaft itself is much longer than the 32-34 handles seem to be. Do you think this could be the right handle for one of these odd ball Fords?
Very tangled, it looks like this...
Deuce Lover and David G.
Thank you both for your comments. That was my suspicion from the photos I've looked at. If not for the lock and the length of the stem, it is nearly identical. I was thinking that it could be for a panel, but they appear to be separate as well.
Any other ideas of...
I had quite a time trying to upload photos here, so I uploaded them where I could a bit more easily. Here is a link to the handle: https://www.ebay.com/itm/123221796944?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Thank you for your help!
I have a large collection of door handles which I have been sorting through. One looks identical to a 32-34 truck handle, except it has a built in lock cylinder and a very long shaft.
I want to make sure it ends up finding the right car. Do you know what it is from? I have been looking at...
I just found more photos. The new answer is, it's not worth much to me... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1120446718041980&set=pcb.10154312303398801&type=3&theater
Yikes...
I was perusing the internet and came across a few cars for sale. One of them is a supposedly authentic town car. From these two photos, does anyone think it is authentic? What would something like this be worth?
Thank you all for your help!

Asking $100 obo.
