Sorry for what may be a dump question...I have to remove the bushings that the brake and clutch pedal assem. on a 33 Ford ride on. Is the procedure cut with a hack saw to free the bushing or is the purpose of the reamer to do this function?? Also to insert new ones is it by a arbor or hydraulic...

I see that Vintage, Mac, C&G, etc all offer clutch rebuliding/exchange for 34 Ford. Is anyone better than the other? Is Mac fo rexample just subing it out? Who is the best? Also any new space age clutch material out there that will last forever...versus the oldstuff. Trying to avoid a clutch...

On the top of the hinge post on the rear quater panels is a capping piece. For the roadster it is the finsihing piece between the hinge edge and the top iron anchors. Does any one make repos, does anyone have originals even for patterns, does the phaeton version also fit? thanks esolari@casco.net

At the base of each side cowl panels there is a "L" shaped bracket . It anchors the inside of the cowl panel to the floor. They are a mirrored match set and are specific to the 33/34 roadster and Phaeton. Need either the set, a source for a reproduction or at least one in any shape for a pattern...

Go to the green Ford bible and the leaf assemblies are listed for each model Also Eaton Springs in detroit and make a repo to orginal specs (they have a website)

Need the complete original rear spring assembly from a 1934 coupe or roadster. Needs to be in great shape. Thanks esolari@casco.net

Who makes the best reproduction leaf springs for the Old Ford ... Specifically 1934 Thanks

It is the rear spring only ...and according tothe V8 club restoration manuel it has one less leaf for a roadster or coupe versus a sedan .....I am just trying to determine which leaf is removed.

I have read that the 34 roadster and coupe has one less rear spring leaf than the sedan. I have a sedan spring and need to know if it top leaf removed or the bottom leaf above the one with the rolled ends that shackles mount. So what is the length of the top leaf along the arc versus the bottom...

Thanks one and all for the info...per the question of where are the holes.The member that holds the transmission between the frame rails has several rivets on each side. One side has all the rivits and the other has a mirror image of the rivits but has two holes without rivits.

I found two rivit holes on my 34 Ford chassis "unfilled". I have the rivits and the MAC rivit anvil (looks like a big nail set with the head sphere shape)but unclear how to get them tight. Do I just hammer with the anvil over and over. Do I heat the rivit red hot and then insert and then hammer...
