    Differences in truck wheels

Jack, I'm sure I can find you a rim and lock ring at my parents' house in CT. Send me a PM and we can set up a time to meet up. Red

    AA truck question.

You can physically put duals on a 29/9 rear axle, but it would not be safe. The way the hubs are designed, the lugs don't come out enough to get a decent amount of threads on the lug nuts. This being said, they were aftermarket manufacturers that made dual wheel adapters for the 28/9 trucks. Red

Possibly a welding outfit? It looks like the guy sitting on the fender might have welding goggles on. Red

    shout out to Tim Ayers

I opted for the Bolt Buster partly based on recommendations here (I think Tim was one of them) and the fact that it's made in America. Red

    shout out to Tim Ayers

The one thing that the my Bolt Buster hasn't worked on is a lug nut on a '32 BB truck. I heated that thing up until it was red and sat on it with my Milwaukee cordless impact wrench to no avail. It did get the head nuts on a flathead red in about 15-20 seconds. Would the induction tool work...

    Oil Pan fitment

Aussie Merc, I plan on changing the pan out and switching out the dipstick adapter for a new one that has a hole for a return line. Red

Kiwi, I don't think so. It looks like the pipe is just missing, but I will take another look at it. Red

    2 ton truck rims

Truckdog (Stu) is the man when it comes to truck rims. Where in Massachusetts are you? I may have some rims for your truck at my parents' house in CT. Red

    Oil Pan fitment

For those of you following along, I took the pan off to see what was going on inside. I am NOT impressed by the work of the rebuilder. I have no idea if they did the butcher job on the pickup, or if it was like that before they even worked on it. I did have to hammer a putty knife in between...

    Oil Pan fitment

Kube, You are correct. It appears that the diptick tube boss on the '34 pan is a bit of a different size than the newer boss that I have with a filter return fitting. I haven't actually measured either of the bosses to see if they actually line up. Red

    Oil Pan fitment

Thank you for the response. The engine is going in a '34 BB platform dump. I assuming (here we go again) that the '34 oil pan shouldn't be an issue because it's a '34. I am curous how they managed to get the pan to fit. I'm going to pull the pan off to see what it has for an oil pump. I...

    Oil Pan fitment

Guys, I have a question regarding fitment of oil pans on different blocks. I have a '37 block engine that has what appears to be a '34 oil pan. I am looking to put an oil filter on the engine and would like to send the return oil to the pan. If I locate another '35-48 pan, it should fit on...

    Oil filter return line

Thank you all for your input. The engine is already together and it is a bypass spin on filter. I may pull the pan and see if I can switch the dipstick tube boss for one that has a return hole in it. Red

    Oil filter return line

I ordered a dipstick tube boss with the oil return boss, but will it fit on a '34 pan? It looks to be the same size as the newer pans with the bigger tube and different dipstick. Thanks again guys. Red
