You can drill one of the timing cover mounting bolts and fabricate a pointer pin to fit it.

Ok, I found the Bendix number, 10-357174.

They are used in Bendix 20 or 200 series magnetos. I can get the number tomorrow if you still need it.

My 35 is also 12 inches.

I had a similar problem with a 35 sedan, I loosened the rear spring u bolts, installed trans mount bolts, then retighten rear spring u bolts.

I tow a 20 foot enclosed trailer and 35 pick up with a F150 rated at pulling a 9400 lb. Trailer, no problems yet. I also pull horse trailers and a 8200 lb. Travel trailer. I use the wheel style straps on 4 wheels of my 35 when in the enclosed trailer, they are easy to use.

Heli-coil it. I did one that way.
