Sounds like my 396 Camaro with 4.11s. I would say ****** carbs or bad distributor. If gas isn't running out the pipes, you have a high gear that you use and your eyes don't burn when driving it I would get a good distributor in it. At this point you will have a tough time making it worse...

I'm in the market for pumps. Any vendor can get a bad string of parts. The thing that really matters is how they handle the solution. Nice to hear if these venders correct the problems or give you the run around. Keep us posted. Gene
