Thanks for all the input and information. After taking everything apart, cleaning all the jets and float, replacing the venturi I broke, it works perfect! No leaks and the car starts right up every time just like it use to.

Don't drive it in the rain, problem solved. It's a quick fix and works for me for the moment. But yes this is only a temporary fix.

I have a novice / newbie question. Took my carb off my 29 Town Sedan to clean the jets. Purchased a gasket kit for it. When putting the 2 halfs back together do I need a gasket sealer or not? And if so what's the best to use? Thanks for your help!

Could be coming out of the overflow hose that connects to the radiator neck and goes down the side. If your Radiator is not pressurized it will leak a little. Well, mine does. Good luck!

I drive it 3 or 4 times a year up the road and back just to keep things moving and lubricated.

I have the same plugs in my 1929 Town Sedan. They were in it when I purchased it 8 years ago. This thread has answered many of my questions. Thanks guys!
