    Pinion loose bearing

If the bearings you speak of are the bearings on the carriers assembly (see following picture) you can knurl them by using a center punch and dimpling the surface where the bearing sits with an evenly dispersed pattern. The dimples will allow the bearing to grip when you press the new bearings...

    flywheel ring gear and bendix

The 1/2" starter is for the early 28's with the multi disc clutch, it was needed for clearance between the flywheel and housing, it also had a different headless bolt to hold the bendix spring in place. You can use a 1/2" starter in a later car with the single disc clutch but not the other way...

    Tig welding door panel questions

I like the cardboard template idea, that's a great idea. Thanks for all the other ideas as well folks. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] I've done some oxy welding in the past, for the cost of gas I felt this was a more economical way to go in the long run and so far I'm not finding tig welding...

    Tig welding door panel questions

Hello and Merry Christmas folks. Just going to start repair on a CCPU for my CAA truck. As I approached this project (and the stack of projects I am collecting as time goes on) I made the decision to get a tig welder for body work as the consensus is that a tig is better than a mig for this. warm model A motor begins to stutter

I second that! A coil without the resistor will overheat in the amount of time you've stated causing all sorts of gremlins once it heats up from too much voltage/time

    spark plug cleaning

The one I use I just use brute force to get the plug into the hole, I use it on any engines that don't get run much or have a tendency to foul the plugs, from the lawn mower to the John Deere D, my grandpas B is a real plug-fouler, I have a spare set of clean plugs in the tool box at all times...
