Ok so new thought, I never noticed it since previously i started with the car wheels blocked. Thanks for the ideas. The wire gauge is proper for 6v, Ill check the bolts (didnt know about the gasket between starter and engine) Ill also check the stud on the starter itself. If i do need a rebuild where is best?

Same thought here, not sure if i am more jealous of the car, or the garage.

O gauge... Ill try cleaning up the switch contacts and the starter contacts and see if that helps. Thanks
