    1949 F2 Pickup

Guy's, Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but I need a title and vin plate for a 1949 F2. The owners have passed away and I can't get a title. It's been sitting in a shed for 20 years! Any ideas? If this is the wrong place to post this (I am sorry an you can delite it). If...

    1936 Ford Grill Removal

Taking a 36 grill off is no problem. I had mine off pretty quick, but getting it and the hood back on with the correct gaps is way fun. Don't tighten up anything to tight until you see how it fits. May have just been my 36 but I had to hide my hammer and walk away several times before I got it...

    1949 F2 Pickup

Thanks for your opinions on the F2. You guys are always a big help. I kind of had the same feeling, but I was hoping it would not be this bad. I figured they were so scarce because they were REAL farm or work trucks back in the 50's and were thinned out because of that. I found out this morning...

    1949 F2 Pickup

Hey guys, I have got alot of GOOD info and advice from you guys in the past on my old Fords. My friend has found a 1949 F2 Pickup. It is all there and has the Flathead V8 and 4 speed in the floor. I haven't seen it in person yet, I am going Thursday to look at it. My friend who called me about...

    Driving in the winter

Sorry but my computer has a mind of it's own and has decided it's on strike as far as uploading pic's......but my 51 F1 feels the pavement here in N.C. no matter what it is doing out side. I am 59 and we don't get the snow we used to get when I was 16 years old and driving my 46 Ford Club Coupe...

Selling A Vehicle Out Of State

I have my Ford sold to a guy several states away. I have never done this before and I don't know the proper way to transfer money to me and Title to him. He is having it transported and is buying it from pictures and our conversations over the phone. I know alot of you guys have done this. What...

    Optima

Like you 4dFord/SC I saw several plant managers get smacked in the arse by the door on their way out. And they all seemed to have the same mind set (the more I save the Company the more they will pay me). That did not help the guy's on the floor trying to meet tighter specs with equipment that...

    Optima

I worked for Douglas Battery for 21 years, and yes JC is one of the bigger manufactures and they (like Douglas) make batteries for other compaines when they can't fill and order. Or they build them all if they can cut the other bids and get the contract, using the Autozone or O'rileys...

    Fenton Headers on 8ba

First of all I want to thank ALL the Barn members for their help with my oil leaks (500 miles and not ONE spot on the floor!). Now on to my next fix it or break it. My 1951 F1 has a set of Fenton headers on it....the header flange on the drivers side is so close to the steering box that it is...

Thanks guys for all the help with my 51 F1 rear main seal problems! Got lots of good advice and help. Just wanted ya'll to know that the operation was a success (no leaks!!!!!) after around 100 miles of road time, and the patient is expected to make a full recovery after some rehabilitation...

32 3 window rear wheel wells

Try Dennis Carpenter 1-800-476-9653. I have been told he has alot of the original Ford stamps and dies, and his products are licensed by Ford. He is in Concord N.C. so if you are in S.C. he is not far from you. I have bought some things from him, but not body parts.

Need Help With 51 F1 Rope Seal Replacement

Kerby, No it doesn't have a clean out just a drain plug. I talked to a member of the East Coast Flathead Racing Association today that I met a few weeks ago. He told me to take a large socket with an extension on it and a hammer, and seat the front and rear rope seals in the oil pan after...
