Can somebody shed some light as to what these people are thinking?

As one of the participants in the video I must say its the most fun to be had on 4 wheels, usually 2 day events involving up to a dozen or so hills and a testament to the build quality of these wonderful cars requiring very little attention between events. When you live in the UK with its...

Many thanks for advice but as I am 73 years old and classified as young heaven knows how old you are!! Even us wrinklies embrace this new fangled technology at times [under strict supervision of course...]

Yes, thanks. Anything would be of help as most of the wooden frame is missing and the various metal pieces suffering from tin worm attack.

I believe it was Canadian then exported to Argentina before rocking up here in the UK.

Hello, bit of a problem as I am trying to restore the body behind the rear seats. Does anybody know where I can find an illustration of how it looked originally as after 90 years I don't think mine vaguely resembles how it left the factory? Many thanks John

    Ignition debate

I must agree with Tom as I think our Begium friend's English is far better than a lot I have read here.As I said to my American cousin when she said she wanted to learn a second language, why not try English! Thank heavens for the special relationship....

Vintage Fords on VSCC Welsh Trial 2017

Hi Kevin, There are basically two classes, standard and modified. I run in the standard long wheelbase class which allows no changes from original including tyre and wheel sizes, engine suspension etc. This class is virtually a Model A benefit which is a great challenge as only 27 points...

Vintage Fords on VSCC Welsh Trial 2017

John is quite correct about bouncing to aid traction but bouncing also slows the car down so a delicate balance is needed to achieve forward motion and speed. After many years of trialing I realise its a black art perfected by few but enjoyed by many, certainly the greatest fun available on...

    Blockley tyres

From personal experience I rate them very highly but make sure you use their inner tubes as well which seem to be a lot better than quality. Well worth the price. John

Drilling wheel to accept tube with off set valves.

Hi John, yes I had the same problem so drilled a wheel and used it for trialing for some time without any problem so road use should be trouble free. I eventually replaced it not from fear for the wheel integrity but the valve was a little proud of the rim and I saw the possibility of catching...

    Autojumbles UK

Hi, yes just to add to the excellent reply from Juggs, there are 2 VSCC Trials in March both of which will be well supported by myself and probably a dozen or so A's thrashing up muddy hills. Saturday March 12th is the Derbyshire Trial, based at Ashover, and there is the 2 day Hereford Trial...

    With the rain comes mud...

Hi Juggs, the VSCC trials are The Exemoor, Derbyshire,Hereford,Cotswold, Scottish and Lakeland so sadly nothing out east, probably too flat ! The weather is never a problem except one year when snow made the Exemoor impossible.

    With the rain comes mud...

Yes a pint or two is obligatory afterwards and yes cleaning the beast afterwards is a real pain in the nether regions as power hoses are off limits for fear of doing more harm than good. A's are proving more and more popular , most of the LHD ones coming directly from the US complete with the...

    With the rain comes mud...

Yes we need the extra ballast to get us through the mud as the art of the " bouncer" is grossly underestimated as without them progress would be severely limited. We also have a strict set of regulations that have to be adhered to. I hope you noted the Tudor SV 7556 of Chris Williams with the...

Well here in the UK its that time of the year again when instead of putting our beloved A's back into mothballs we dust them off and hit the countryside to sort the men out from the boys - https://hoits.smugmug.com/Motor-Sport-Photos/VSCC-Events/VSCC-Cotwold-2015/Class-2a/ John
