hi, I put on my valve cover a few days ago. after i having read in my model a ford mechanic's book, i see the oil/dist drive gear should have spring. it was no spring there when i took out oil/dist drive gear of my engine in 2014. can my model a engine be damaged if i run without oil/dist drive...

now i have worked so far that i can mount on my oil pan to my 1929 a ford engine. but my oil baffle has 4 drilled holes (posted a picture here in this thread on side 1) and i said, i would weld it. but should i weld it or not? now in I'm a little unsure. thanks for the reply

can you tell me how to start the engine for the first time since overhaul. what first start oil, should the engine idle for 1 hour, and then let the engine cool off?. before i drive it careful around on country roads. i will start my rebuilt ford model a 1929 pickup engine soon this Winter.

i think i will buy 1932 radiator Shell Without holes. then I can drill one hole to the radiator cap so the 1932 Shell will fit exact on my ford model a 1930 fordor. and is v shaped headlight bar to 30-31 model a that is built for 1932 radiator Shell is needed?. or will original 1931 headlight...

i have fsi Electronic ignition kit of pertronix. here in Norway, one good 6v battery is difficult to find. I overhauled the original tired distributor, and then mounted 12v fsi ignition. I am very satisfied.
