    Steenbery Station Wagon bodies

Thanks Ron. That is about the status that I understood they were in and I think S&S industries that made the iron was also Steenburgs and they are gone now too. I searched the archives here and there was more discussion on Steenburg in around 2021 saying his wife sold the jigs and forms to a...

    Steenbery Station Wagon bodies

Out of curiosity, has anyone restored a Model A station wagon using a Steenburg body? I know he passed away a number of years ago but am interested knowing what you thought of the body and the quality. Also, is there anyone currently suppling a new station wagon body today and what is their price?

    Engine pans make interior hotter?

I also believe pans are a good idea. On a trip many years ago one member didn't have pans and had trouble with his engine missing. What happened is that it was in southern Idaho and the asphalt had severe ruts due to truck traffic, etc. We were in a thundershower and the ruts were full of...

Selling California cars out of state

Something else to consider today when selling a car. There was an article on the local news in Sacramento (Channel 13) about an older lady who sold a modern car. The new owner didn't reregister it with the DMV and she started getting all these demands. It included parking tickets, toll...

    Garage lights

A good friend installed LED lights in their kitchen which I believe were the tube type. During an outage (we have a lot of those in CA) when his generator was running his wife called him to the kitchen because smoke was coming from several of the lights. They called the local fire department...

    Radiator Overheating

I'm a proponent of using only a 10 fin/inch radiator and even though I live in northern Calif have never had a problem with overheating and that includes driving through Death Valley and I-80 through Nevada in the summer. Cost is minimal.:)

Brassworks ‘28 Show Quality vs Active Driver?

Re: Brassworks ‘28 Show Quality vs Active Driver? Nothing worse than having to clean up the engine compartment when a radiator boils over--I have always used a 10 fin radiator and it works well for me in central CA where it was 112 yesterday!
