Hello All,
Well I found a fuel line about a good centimeter away from the exhaust pipe!! Hmmm thats interesting. Fixed that up, and had a real expert find a few other problems with the fuel system and ignition system. Well I still have a lot to learn about Model T Fords and just engines in...
Well I would say place it where it runs good and leave it. Every motor and carb is different and to say for instance one turn out on the spray needle could work for you but never for me. Is it running rich at all????

Well the old T seems to be doing good after numerous carb cleanings and a rebuild new wiring harnesses and cutoff switches and so on. There's one more problem that gets my goat. After running the car all around town and stopping for some gas at the local station. I filled up an proceeded to...
Well I talked to a few others and they say to be safe only set it about 1/8 below TDC. I understand that part but where is my starting point on the distributor?????? Do I go by the first spark plug wire or something??
Hello There!
I have a distributor conversion on my T and I am not sure that it is set right. The reason I say this is because after running the car shutting it down and trying to restart it when its hot, sometimes it wont start you have to do some playing around with the spark advance and such...
So now I have the generator charging the battery. But when the car isn't running and all items are off, the ammeter shows discharge like something is drawing power. When I take off the negative on the battery obviously it shows nothing but when I place it back on you can hear something click...
Thanks everyone! I will go after it now that I have some good info to work with.
One last question. Have any of you guys ever used electronic ignition in your cars??
Well thats a fine howdy you do! I will have to look into the backwards idea there that would be nice if thats all it was. Theres some crazy wiring BS on the car. I guess I should spend a little time with it ans see whats good and whats not.
I thank everyone for there help!!! Nice to know that...
Hello,
I have found a few manifold leaks. I think once I get these corrected my problems will go away. Not so fast though. I look at my ampmeter and when running the car the needle is in the discharge zone. I have the distributor conversion on this one. Does anyone know how the carging system...
I have had the carb out. Fuel flow is great fuel is new. Carb has been cleaned new needle valve installed and the spray needle looks good. With the adjustment recommended the engine has trouble. I have to open it up more. It has been converted over to distributor with electronic ignition, so no...
I have it out about 4 turns now that I have adjusted the float. It still doesn't run real smooth but much smoother than before.
I would love to join the club I say down but I am in Mass so....haha Is there one in mass??
Hi There,
Sorry I sometimes forget to add in the important info. Yes it is a Holly NH. I will look at the float and maybe even go pick up a new one down at Langs. I just inspected the spray needle, she looks very clean.
Hello,
