    Improve '40 brakes on a '34?

I have a lot to chew on here. My car had already been converted to juice brakes when I got it. My wheel cylinders have 2 sizes of cups on each end, is this normal? I do not know the correct adjusting method. I didn't measure the drums. I just moved from Texas to Oklahoma and now don't have a...

    Improve '40 brakes on a '34?

I saw Flathead Ted has a brake improver kit for stock mechanical brakes on a '34. Any improvements for a '40 hydraulic conversion on my '34 coupe? Ive rebuilt the wheel cyls and master cyl, and put on new metallic original type shoes, the brakes are marginal at best.

    '36 Ford pickup

SOLD!, SOLD!, '36 pickup. Restored about 20 years ago by an avid Ford guy up in his years. Restored from a never rusted solid original. Numbers on the ****** match and the motor is believed to also be original. Runs and drives like it should, has never overheated even in the Texas heat. I...

    1936 transmission

My '34 has syncros. I had a '48 one ton that had a non-syncro 4-speed. Talk about a bear to downshift!

I have a stock '34 coupe and was just wondering, did the later model flathead you swapped in have more power?

Early V-8 Show in Charlotte Questions

I agree with Al. One problem with the V-8 Club is when you join a local club, you must also join the national club and pay dues for each. A couple of years ago a local V-8 club (about 75 miles from me) were having a meet on sat and on sunday they were going to cruise to a lake and have a picnic...

My beautiful 34 Coupe has not started and ran right for 2 years!!!!!!!

Sounds just like my '36 pickup was doing. It had too much timing advance. Someone had removed the mechanical advance limiter and spring. It would run fine up to 25mph, then start popping. Try retarding the timing. That still doesn't explain the weak fire though. I swapped both my flathead...
