I am converting my 1937 Ford to Hyd brakes. Can I use my original 37 drums with 1939 backing plates? Thanks

I am converting my 1937 Ford from mechanical brakes to hyd. I have 1939 Ford backing plates, can I use my original 37 drums or do I need 39 drums as well. The 37 drums look like they might work. Does anyone have any experience with this conversion.? Thanks Maallm
