I don't have any history, just a couple of cool old pics from internet sites. I have a '40 One-ton Panel Delivery that I'm working on, but still am unable to find any pictures of what they looked like new.

Interesting to note; the Coca-cola trucks have flat windsheilds, and I think the cabs are the 1936 (?) style. The trucks in the repair shop have three ribs on the doors, making them 1938-39. The noses are all '40. Henry sure knew how to recycle...waste not, want not.

Wish I could figure out how to post pictures, I have a couple saved from the internet that are pretty cool. One is a repair bay with 40-41 commercials on lifts, and the other is a row of 1940 German Coca-cola delivery trucks!

I'm pretty sure it's a flathead V8. :) It looks like a 239 cid, which (I think) had a 3 3/4" throw on the crank. Are you talking about what displacement, or make and model and where it was made?

Will 1938-1939 Ford Panel fenders fit on a 1940-1947 Panel truck? It's a one-ton, but I don't think that makes any difference. Does anyone know for sure?

I am looking to replace the mashed grille on my '40 Ford 3/4 Tonner. Does anyone know if the bare '40 and the '41 grille sheetmetal is the same underneath the chrome? And if anyone has a correct and straight '40 Commercial grille, I'd be interested...
