    Old Cars in Hawaii

The Hawaii salt air rusts things slower than salty roads, but unless you keep your car in a somewhat sealed environment, the salt will eventually affect it. (even small things like light switches eventually succumb at a rate proportional to your distance from shore) I think the simplest solution...

    Bargain Day in NC

"High School cars" i.e. cars that people lusted after in high school and later bought when they had money, are a moving target. 50's cars are no longer the hot segment of the collectors market, its late 60's muscle cars now. Heaven only knows what it will be in 20 years as cars after that were...

    Number stamp set

https://restostamps.com/products/stage-1-number-kit-0-9-a-stamp-star-stamp-old-style-ford-model-a-b-t is the base set, and if you have late 31 you need the newer stamps in addition to it if you have a 1, 6,9 in your number. But check if anyone in your club has them first - I loan my out to club...

    Classtique Upholstery comes through!

Mike's estimates tend to be worst case - which is good from my perspective. I've always gotten my things sooner.

Car Dies While Stopping Too Fast

I just fixed this on my cabriolet - in my case it was rust accumulation inside the carburetor. Not saying that is your issue however.

    The 60-A, B, C Fordor Sedans

I realize I never posted pics. Yes the car is pink (exterior house paint over the original done by the family my grandfather sold it to) but you can see the original paint on the firewall and door jambs/dash. It is unrestored but well used over the years first as a daily commute car by my...

Noticeable differences between a 1928 - 1929 Fordor Briggs sedan

Also, 28 and 29 interiors are different. You can go over to Classtique's website to see the differences.

    Leatherback '28-'29 Group

Being a little vague on purpose, but I'll reveal all soon I hope. Did and 28 features carry over into early 29? I'm looking at a Fordor that has a 29 interior but also rear arm rests. Thanks

    Cylinder head casting marks?

I had a similar head, it is just a stock ratio aftermarket head. The casting marks fall into two categories: Long term mold charecteristics are alphanumeric or a dial indicator with nothing around them. Short term mold variables are made on a strip and riveted to the form the mold is made from...

    Flush-Mount Doors

Are lap doors a four door thing? My 30 cabriolet has what I consider to be flush doors, just like the 180A and 400A

    Float-a-Motor Issue, a Lesson Learned

I was told by a respected individual in the Model A world that the float mounts should only be tightened so that you can just barely twist the top disc with your fingers. Any tighter will hasten the deterioration of the rubber disc.

In case you want to know the whole story, or an update

Yeah, no one is blameless in this situation.

    The 60-A, B, C Fordor Sedans

Question: I'm newly aware of Fordors, as I have the opportunity to buy my grandfathers (I have drop tops - cabriolet, phaeton, etc.) Is there somewhere that lists the differences between the 60A and 60B? The car is unrestored and has a Jan 29 engine number.
