    Banger engine update

Oh, ok! Yeah, I'm familiar with that. Thank you The info provided with the leakless water pump and the aluminum 2 blade fan state that they work together without modification. I checked thee clearance anyways when installing and there were no clearance issues.

    Banger engine update

That's interesting because a lot of the Model A touring guys that I know rave about this fan and have never seen the plastic fan in real life. I've only ever heard about people using this fan on the internet. We all have our own real life experiences though so i get it. Thanks for sharing your...

That's not a bad idea at all. Definitely better to be safe than sorry. Thank you for the recommendation.

    Banger engine update

I hadn't thought of that off the bat. I imagine that's to keep the fuel mixture from detonating and causing internal damage?

    Banger engine update

It's quite incredible how quickly it gets up to speed now! I've only had it up to 40mph due to the icy conditions but once it clears up, I'll give it a good test. So far, I'm very impressed and wis I went this route earlier. Always have to learn the hard way for some reason

Model B cylinder head and water pump

**Dropped to $400** I just recently replaced my Model B cylinder head with a high compression Model A head so I no longer need these parts. Head had been resurfaced before installation and the water pump completely rebuilt with all parts from David at Renner's Corner. The water pump has also...

    Banger engine update

When I first mentioned that I would be putting a Model B cylinder head on my A block, many asked why? And that was a very good question. Well, one guy brought up a good point about steam holes needing to be blocked off, which I hadn't done and assumed that this is what has been causing my...

Refreshing my model a engine with B parts

I agree with this and it's what I will probably do in the future when I decided to refresh the engine. Currently, my goal is to get it back up and driving as inexpensive as possible just to be able to enjoy it. The HC A head and a leakless water pump is definitely the most beneficial setup. At...

Refreshing my model a engine with B parts

I'm sure it's just a typo but I think you mean 4.22 for the Model A and 4.6 for the Model B. To be honest, there is really not much effort. Model B head gasket, water pump, block 2 steam holes and you're done. Model A high compression head is obviously more beneficial but I was uncertain of...

Refreshing my model a engine with B parts

You're definitely not wrong in anything you said. It makes perfect sense. I guess it was just penny pinching for the time being and when I looked, the HC head wasn't available on Snyder's. I was able to pick up a Model B head and pump for $200. I have also found many more B pumps since. They're...

Refreshing my model a engine with B parts

This is the conclusion I came to as well, both 32. The odd one has an interesting impeller that I had never seen before. I was more curious if anyone had seen this style before and if it were aftermarket or homemade. Thanks for looking out on the differences between the B and A heads to block...
