If you take the spring apart grind the ends of the leaves so they don't dig into the the next leaf below. This will help for a smoother ride.

They also want to know what I paid for it and what it's worth. My reply to the hotrod question is any idiot can put a small block chevy in and ruin the car, BUT it takes a REAL mechanic to keep them stock. Kevin
