which way do you recommend taking the steering box out #1 taking it out the top by removing the clutch and brake pedals or #2 taking the splash pan off and out the bottom?

if I change my headlights to butt connectors how do I know which wire goes where?

I really don't plan on carrying a heavy load on the rack , I just thought it would doll the old girl up a bit and give it a little class. That's why I thought the cheap brackets would be good enough. I guess if I elongate the holes in the bracket it should work

That's my problem Paul, I shouldn't have to ream the hole in the extension bracket. I'm using A18576BS brackets and A18575B luggage rack from Mike's A Fordable Parts

my brackets look like the originals but the rear bolt goes in fine but the slot hole on the bracket will only cover about half of the hole on the extension bracket

Has anyone hade a problem with the holes on the extension brackets not lining up completly with the holes on the rack?

Does any one know any good tricks to getting a tail light mounted on the right, so it is even and level with the one on the left?

I installed cowl lights on my 31 A with a kit from Mac's. the wood blocks they sent to install behind the brace are loose and just rattle after I tighten the lights. Are they even necessary?
