The 352/2bbl in my 1960 Country Sedan runs hot in traffic or idling; it's fine when moving down the road. It has a 4-blade fan and original radiator. I would like to keep it looking stock under the hood, if possible. Change fan to 5 or 6-blade? Change to electric fan? Replace radiator with...

Cool tool, thanks for the post - and the generous offer. I don't think the spring is my problem but will find out once I remove the door card. I have a rear door that won't open from in or out and both handles feel "disconnected".

So, did removing the (seat and the) door card allow you the access you needed? I am having the same issue - though it's the rear door. All worked fine; now door won't open from in or out and the handle and door button both feel "disconnected". I am guessing access to the inside of the door...

Thanks, yes it was a grand adventure. Sal, no problems with the carb at over 9000' - of course we didn't stay there long either. But it ran fine over the other passes as well. Jackson is 6300' and we were there three days with no issues.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. (Correction: the car underwent a restoration at one time and has been in a collection since.) I am gathering parts for the trip and new rubber will be fitted. Anticipated start date is October 3. Hope we can stay ahead of snow in the mountains.
