Did you put the channel on the glass before going into the frame?

I have new windshield glass and brass channel to install on my 1915 roadster. Any advice before I get started?

Thanks for the info. I think I will torque to about 40 and use some blue locktight.

Anyone have a good torque value for the capscrews that hold the magnets to the flywheel? My capscrews donot have a hole for safety wire.

When I installed my roller I noticed it could be installed two ways. I found a notch on the end of the shaft and used that to install the roller. My car (hand crank 1915) starts best with the spark advance at 1/2 quadrant not fully retarded as most. This is where it runs best on magneto also...

I removed the engine and transmission. The clutch spring wasn't broken but it was badly bent. The clutch spring support failed! I Found pieces of it throughout the transmission and engine. Found the pin in the oil sump. Not sure why it failed. The person I bought the car from said it just quit...
