    Anyone local in San Diego?

Sorry with the late response. I haven't logged in for a couple weeks. Yes, it's for the fire engine that's my avatar. The carburetor is pieced from two different carbs? If it is, thanks for the heads up. I'm learning as I go. It appears either or after the Department of Defense auctioned it...

    Found something neat

There's at least 50 1/2" wrenches in the garage. It's the same for every other tool also. It's crazy. I've been consolidating everything to help organize the garage. I haven't really looked at each tool individually. I'll have to start. I have noticed some old Snap-On tools also. I'm looking at...

    Found something neat

I’ve been cleaning out my stepfather’s garage for my mom. He was a mechanic and passed. He was a bit of a horder. His father owned the local mechanic shop in La Mesa during the 40’s/50’s and 60’s. Eventually retiring in the 80’s. The garage is full of tools, old and new. I found a wrench with...

    Is this correct?

Thanks. There is a larger lip on the other side of the insulator that fit snug and facing up. I did get the smaller washer on correctly. I ended up trimming the smaller lip in the image off, as the bolt wouldn't be long enough to catch the threads. Plus, it would of just smashed between the head...

    Is this correct?

The original rubber has aged to a point where it doesn’t resemble the new part. Set up like this the bolt isn’t long enough to pass through the water pump. Is this the correct order to set up the engine? Do I need to trim the rubber ring next to the head of the bolt to make it work?

What Temperature Sending Unit do I need?

Oh okay, I see it now. It's on the driver side head. What is the part above the distributor? Unfortunately, I only have a few hours on Sunday's to work on my truck and it's a 90 miles drive to get there. I have to rely on the pictures I've taken to reference what I need.

What Temperature Sending Unit do I need?

I bought the 1940-1955 Temperature Sending Unit (6-Volt) (Single-Post) from Early Ford Store. Everyone sells the single and double post unit. The one on my truck is a single post. The unit on my truck is much larger than the one I received. I don't see any other options than the two for sell at...

    Early Ford Store

I ordered all the parts for the cooling system except a radiator. Early Ford called me this morning and said they're waiting for one of the water pumps before mailing everything.. This being my first time ordering and all, it was a little different than I'm used too. Thanks for the info on them...

    Early Ford Store

I bought a bunch of stuff online for the cooling system 8 days ago, and they haven't touch my order. No one has answered the phone before or after I made the purchase. If you guys back them, I'll have faith. :)
