    Help identify an engine block

Can someone help me identify this engine or some information about it. I believe it is an 8BA. When I received it, there was no intake, no heads, and the front cover of the engine was missing. There were some numbers, MX 27 185, stamped underneath where the intake manifold would be. In the...

    Vanity plates

I live in California and purchased off of eBay a beautiful set of 1936 plates for my 36. The seller said they were clear (not assigned to a different vehicle). I went to the DMV website and checked. Yep they were clear. I paid for them and went to the DMV, and the Clerk check and said yep...

    Dim dash lights

Thanks all for the suggestions. I did try running a ground wire from the light switch case to a good ground, but that did not help the lights. I will look for a LED lights and clean the lenses, and see how that works. I appreciate the suggestions.

    Dim dash lights

My 41 Mercury is stock, 6 volt positive ground. The dash lights are so dim I can’t read the gauges at night. The dimmer knob on the dash doesn’t work, when the dash lights’ wiring goes through the dimmer the dash lights do not function at all. I have the dimmer switch bypassed, connecting the...

Re: Does anyone know what’s going on with the Early Ford Store? A day or two after my initial post I received a call from the Early Ford Store. A new part was sent to me and all is well. As WRA said in his post, I understand how businesses can get behind and I would do business with them...

Does anyone know what’s going on with the Early Ford Store?

Does anyone know what’s going on with the Early Ford Store? On January 17 I ordered a radiator cap for my ’31 that unfortunately does not fit. The box indicates it’s correct, so I’m wondering if it may have been placed in the wrong box or possibly mislabeled or defective. It took quite a...

    39 seat springs

If the other solutions don’t work to your satisfaction you might consider replacing the old springs with new. I repaired one of my front seats with springs from “Galaxy Supply Inc. Upholstery Coil Springs”. You can find them on Amazon, of course.

    Starter jammed in flywheel.

All good information, thanks. My car is 6v. The bracket to the oil pan was also suspect as a contributing factor to the problem. We made sure it was tightened down properly to keep the Bendix properly aligned. That along with the other changes have, so far, resolved the problem.

    Columbia rear ends available

I have had Columbia overdrive rearends assembled and installed along with controls in a couple of cars. Each one of them was done by Tim Krehbiel. You might know Tim, either through his father, Dan, or because of Tim’s involvement with Nick Alexander’s restoration shop & Woody collection or...
