    '56 Thunderbird Rear Springs

This may be helpful. The Ford - Lincoln - Mercury 1950-1965 Parts Interchange Manual lists the following. The decimal # is the price at that time.

    2013 F 150 Chatter

That "shudder" seems to cross lines. My wife had a Black 2012 Fiesta that developed that same symptom. Her solution was to total it and make me buy her a Black 2015 Fiesta. (She was not hurt - it doesn't take much to total them any more.) I probably shouldn't have shown her this the Ken Block...

    Misidentified 60 & 61 Mercury Hubcaps

I read recently that there were some early '58 Fords with a 312 instead of a 292. Not "offered" as an option but as a left over engine. '57 Tbird production run cut off was later in the year than normal cut off so I suppose it is possible there were some 312s left over. There are some other...

Good to hear. I enjoy following your successes. So they have "rednecks" in Portugal also. Well, from a real redneck in VA to another in Portugal we would say; "You done good boy." :D

    Should I pull the trigger?

Years ago I had a '69 Mach I Mustang with power front disc brakes. It had a black "V8" can (at least it looked like that) as a vacuum reservoir. Is that something that can be added to older cars to augment low vacuum for power brakes from a cammed engine?

How is it that no matter what state we live in they seem to be able to find the same kind of people to work in DMV?

    Distributor cap/rotor button debris

Did you put a gasket between the dizzy and the block? There should not be one as that little bit of extra height will cause the shaft to be pulled down by the cam gear and chew things up.

Just to add my 2 cents. The "charging voltage" is determined as Miker stated with the 2nd wire usually attached at the battery terminal on the starter solenoid. That wire is the "voltage sensing" wire which connects back to the alternator regulator. Attached to that same terminal on the starter...

    Fuel pump

Rui, All in all, I agree with Brodie that it is less expensive and much less trouble to go with the mechanical replacement. The eBay link you gave though is for a single action. That will, of course, pump fuel but will not boost the wipers. If you use one of those just don't floor it to pass...

    Fuel pump

From Pg 10 of the shop manual. "The static pressure should be 3.5 - 5.5 psi at 500 RPM." Also, it is easier to install if the eccentric is at the top. I don't remember which cylinder should be at TDC to place it there.

The main consideration is One Wire or Three Wire. Here is a good article that explains the difference. http://www.madelectrical.com/electricaltech/onewire-threewire.shtml

    Power steering - 1954

I don't mind seeing that happen. It brings up something that I probably have missed so I usually find it interesting. Also, there may have been new ideas or something that has been "discovered" to work in the interim.
