    Strange Cowl

This was my thought as well, its so similar to normal cowls yet so different. I should clarify, the fuel tank that came out of the strange cowl is a 1930/31 type tank, it is identical to the one I took out of the normal cowl, and they interchange. The 1929 cowls that insert the tank from below...

    Strange Cowl

I have this spare cowl I was going to use on my 30 town sedan restoration here in Australia, but I have since decided against it due to the beltline moulding being a single curve and therefore different to the 30/31 type. However there are a number of other things that I find strange about this...

Ford Australia Model A Newspaper Ads

And some more, some Ford, some from dealers. I forgot to post the Phaeton one as a pdf first time round, but I've found a clearer copy now. Apologies for not naming the previous pdfs.

Ford Australia Model A Newspaper Ads

I stumbled across various Australian ford ads looking through old newspapers on the national library of australia website: http://trove.nla.gov.au/ The site actually reads the newspaper photocopies, so you can search Ford, or 1929 Ford etc and it can find ads in pages (when you search options...

I found the handle I was meant to put on, but it still has the correct mounting bracket as well, so I must of had a spare to put one on the v8 handle. The original handbrake that was on it in the photos was the type that mounts to the front of the gearbox top, from memory I had issues with the...

I'll have to check, I had multiple handles so it would not surprise me if I've got a non A one, or somehow managed to have a handle for the truck plated by mistake  Jim

New member 1930 sedan in Australia

Hi all, As I haven't updated for a few months I thought I'd post some photos as to where I'm at. We've had the brakes relined, and pulled the engine and gearbox apart, cleaned, new rings (turns out the engine has previously been bored oversize but I can't remember it currently), new gaskets...

More photos, sorry for the delay. Some photos are pot shots, but hopefully add to the bigger picture. My mindset on the this car is that it doesn't bother me if its a factory sedan that an owner has modified, a town sedan, or plant/dealer modified sedan, its an A, and its mine to cherish :)

Thank you everyone for the welcome, we're in North East Victoria, just north of Wangaratta. I'll certainly consider looking at the state club and or any local organisations, as well as the Town Sedan Club. I had a closer look at the rear light today, and it is the round standard sedan type, not...

Hello everyone, I've been browsing the wealth of information at the fordbarn for a few months now, I thought it was about time I posted my own restoration project. My name's Jim, and despite being 24 and a classified a "Generation Y" I've always had a soft spot for history and the wonderful...
