Thanks for the words of wisdom. I know my Ford is kind of 26ish. So I joined this site to get info on the model t part of my car. Better to ask a lot of questions then just assume.don’t worry I ask a lot of questions and listen to peoples take on things. Like I said my car is fordish. Plus...

    Brake clips

On my 26 model t the front drum brake line goes through the frame. The hole it goes thru is to large for the hydraulic line. The hose I bought has a c clip used for to keep the line from moving. I was going to use the c clip to prevent the hose from going into the frame. Does anyone about this c...

Please tell me if this sounds right

I have a 1926 model t with a ford 9 inch rear end. The wheel cylinders went bad from sitting around for years. The wheel cylinders had part number bendix 30006. I researched bendix 30006 and found it’s off a 1967 Ford F-250. But the pins that push the shoes don’t fit in the new wheel cylinder...

ok I probably know the answer

I just got finished putting in new hydraulic hoses in my 1926. I bled the brakes and everything worked. Then I pushed on the pedal again and then I saw fluid coming out of the front drum brakes. I thought the bleeder screw or hose going to the wheel cylinder was loose. No such luck so I took the...

    Question

I am putting on new hydraulic brake hoses on my drum brakes. Is there a copper washer between the hydraulic hose and the wheel cylinder? I can’t remember and I thought better to ask. Thanks Jerry

    take a poll

I thought about it a lot. Then I crawled under it with a large can of pb blaster and sprayed like a maniac. Then I looked at the clip and thought let’s knock it out. Long story short I got the clip off and the steel brake lines came off. So now I needed to get brake hoses. I got fluid at the...

    take a poll

Thanks a bones. I’m going to try and see if I can air chisel it out. It’s just a push in clip. I was looking at it from the other way. I know my car is not stock. I will look at again and try to do right by the car. Thanks Jerry

    take a poll

Hi I have finally put the correct master cylinder on. But I have another problem. The rubber hose that goes to the drum brakes are clogged from years of neglect. But the hard lines to this are in a bad spot. I have to take out the radiator and grill. But I can bend the hard lines just enough and...

    where to begin

Ok I took wheel cylinder out of drum brakes. I had a little fluid coming out the hydraulic line. So I started cleaning out stuff. I took bleeder screw and blew it out with air. Next I have fluid to rubber hose so I took a thin wire and tried pushing it thru the rubber hose. After all this I...

I found this and couldn’t figure it out

Re: I found this and couldn’t figure it out I am going to check to see if I can just unbolt the backing plate and reverse everything. Short answer is first get brakes working and see how back brakes work. If doesn’t work well then see if I can flip everything. Thanks Jerry
