    1955 Ford brake question

Alright. Much appreciated for all the help! We still have the single chamber master cylinder. It's still full of brake fluid. I'm only 17 years old, and when I talked to the man who was doing them at the time he told me about adjusting them, and told me he did that, and at the time it had a...

    1955 Ford brake question

Just got my 55 customline back on the road today, decided to drive it, and the brake pedal goes all the way down. We just got new brakes put on it about 2 months ago. It still stops, but it's nothing like it was when we had them redone. Is it just the brakes sitting so long, they need to be...

    [1955 Ford] Oil Filter Problem

It is a canister filter. Thanks for the quick feedback. I'll have to give it a try after I order a new center bolt, the old was pretty worn, and stripped.

    [1955 Ford] Oil Filter Problem

I tried to change the oil on my 55' Ford Customline 272 Ci. Motor. I drained the oil, and took the filter shell off. My problem is trying to put the shell back on. I didn't notice a gasket between the shell and the motor, so I'm not sure if I even need it. The problem I'm having is whenever I...

    Feeling emotional today..

Awesome roadster!! My grandpa found just a rusted 29 Roadster body in a field while arrowhead hunting around Hereford, TX back in the 70s, and restored it in 78-79. We've had it ever since, and every show it's been to it's won first prize, everytime.

    Horn honking randomly!

Had the same problem on my 55' Customline, we weren't worried about the horn at the time, so we just disconnected it. Thanks for the help, now I know what to look for when I get it reconnected.

    Wheel Hub question [1955 Ford]

Thanks for the advice! I'll do that on the right side when we get to it. I just got the hub off today and man oh man was it a mess in there, you can tell the rear wheel hub hasn't been removed ever!

    Wheel Hub question [1955 Ford]

I'm trying to remove the hub so I can get to work on the brakes. Do I need a special tool to take it off?

    Wheel Hub question [1955 Ford]

On my 1955 Ford Customline 4 door the rear driver side brake hub looks a whole lot different than the front driver side. I looked it over and have no idea how to remove it. I would post a picture, but I can't get it from my phone to my computer the darn thing won't send to my email. In the...

    1955 Ford Break Issue (Newbie)

We ordered all new brake cylinders, and brake shoes for the front and back. The master cylinder sat for about 4-6 years with brake fluid in it. We're going to keep the master cylinder for the time being, unless it gives us trouble.

    1955 Ford Break Issue (Newbie)

It doesn't have breaks at all. We took the drum off, and it looks like it would be better if we re-did everything.

    1955 Ford Break Issue (Newbie)

I'm new to working on cars, and my first car is a 1955 Ford Customline, I'm 17 years old and know little to nothing about old fords. The reservoir is full of brake fluid, but we can't get seem to get the brakes to pump up. Where would be the best place to start? -Thanks

    1950 Ford Concern

We just got our old 1950 Shoebox ford running after about 10 years, put new plugs, and everything, but when we take it for a spin it gets hot after a while. We didn't flush the radiator, we're going to do that tomorrow. Do you have any other suggestions as to what we should do to elevate this...
