I saw on a Ch**y truck forum how to use Microsoft Copilot to make yourself a Hot Wheels car. I tried it with my '40 but it looks more like a Volkswagen than a Ford. I have had the pleasure owning of this Tudor for the last 57 years.

At the time I got mine there was a charge of $500 if you did not have a rebuildable core. You could have yours rebuilt or just swap for another rebuilt block. I don't know if this has changed since then.
I just looked at their web site and the core charge is $350.
I am running one of their 8BA engines in my '40. It has been installed about 4 years. Very happy with the engine and the people there. It was close enough for me to take them my old engine and pickup the new one. They have a very nice operation right off I85 outside of Greenville, SC. I...
rgmcspadden,
To keep this on topic, I have a '40 with a glove box door. It was purchased in 1968 for me (I was 18 at the time) by my Dad in Hartwell. Born and raised in Hartwell but moved away for jobs. My wife and I both have family still there. We were supposed to be eating bbq at...
I hate Misfit Garage, but I watched 2 episodes last week when they were "flipping" a 1940 Deluxe Tudor Sedan. Here is their "costs":
Original purchase price (quoted on show) 5000
Fat Man frame with independent front end,
rear end, 4 wheel disc brakes (my estimate,
not...
My wife and I went to the Greensboro Classic Car Auction in Greensboro, NC today. Ted Vernon from South Beach Classic was there with a film crew. We had seen him from a distance (we were in the back and he was up front at the auction podium). My wife said she would like to have her picture...
When I rebuilt my '40 back in the early 1980s I put dot 5 in a completely new brake system. New cylinders, new lines and hoses, and rebuilt master. I am still waiting for the first problem. Never had any leaks or soft pedal.
I ran my 1940 on 8 volts from 1968 until the total rebuild in 1982. I was not on the internet at that time so I didn't know the difference. It was just what people did back then.
In some of the English filmed shows, Edd will sometimes tell the viewers how much a "specialist" would have charged for the job and how he "saved" all that money by doing it himself. It is still one of the better tv car shows.
