    Aerostar springs the result.

I installed the Aerostar springs on my '57 Ranchero (has a 312 in it) and it dropped the height 3.5". It was actually sitting on the bump stops. So I ordered some polyurethane spring isolators for a Fox mustang and raised it back up roughly 1". The ride is great. Going over bumps it does get...

Have you considered converting the single circuit master cylinder to dual? I'm restoring a '48 F4 for a gentleman and I converted his to a dual circuit. The biggest thing is to find a master cylinder with at least the same bore size as the original.

GB Sisson: 1. Yes, the fuel sender should work with a 12v system as long as you use a voltage reducer on the gauges. 2. The horn relay: The battery connection goes to constant power. If you are converting to 12v you need to get a relay rated for that. One of the connections goes to the horns...

    proper coil/distributor combination for '39

I just wanted to provide an update on the '39. I sent the distributor to Skip and he installed new points, rotor, rebuilt a coil and set up the distributor. While the distributor was out I removed all of the old wiring and may I say I'm surprised the car didn't burn to the ground. To say the...

'39 Steering Box/ Horn - Light rod and End cap

Oh, I think I understand what you're saying. The crimping process would have flattened the tube to make the seal around the cap. It just so happened the the tube broke away from the crimp in a perfect circular fashion. Half of the crimp remained on the tube and the other half of the crimp...

'39 Steering Box/ Horn - Light rod and End cap

Hopefully the Title covers everything, haha. The steering box on this 39 Ford Deluxe was leaking and a good friend, 40 Cpe, here on the FordBarn told me about the common problem where the brass tube that attaches to the end plate will crack/break. So I pulled the end cap off the steering box...

    1939 Ford Deluxe Headlight Bucket

I have a question for you guys, I'm rewiring a friend's '39 Ford and was just curious about the headlight buckets. Hopefully this will make sense with the pictures. Is the lip around the opening at the bottom supposed to be folded over like it is? It just looks like it was cut and folded...

    proper coil/distributor combination for '39

Thank you Bubba. I'll be looking for a correct coil and I assume a factory one would be the best. Do you sell them or should I just buy one from a restoration parts supplier?

    proper coil/distributor combination for '39

I ohmed the coil and resistor last night, both of them cold. The coil measured 1.6-1.7 ohms of resistance between the posts and the resistor under the dash measured .5 ohms. I did notice that one of the terminal nuts on the resistor was loose so I tightened it. It was late at night so I...
