how do you remove starter from a 272 automatic. got it loose but can not get it out of the engine. how do you get it out ?

Has anyone used the resrictive intake gaskets to prevent the paint being burned off manifold? Do they work? what about blocking the exhaust completely. I hate to ruin another paint job. Or anyother suggestions. this is on 1955 crown vic w/272 4 barrel.

yes I meant intake gaskets.

to keep from burning the paint off u need to get intake manifolds from concours parts which have 'restricted" heat riser ports. concoursparts.com

got a manual it doesnt list gap.

this may be too late but KBS sells a motor coat kit. the thunderbird red has orange tint. theywill spray out samples for you. also can be brushed on and looks like spray look up on internet.

what i s the corredt points gap on a 1955 crown vic 272. It has shown up from.14 to .18. what is correct?
