    Rear End and RABS...

I have a "87 F250. When putting it into gear there is a "clunk" sound. I presumed u-joint(s) but upon inspection the tech?mechanic said rear end. The pinion is a little loose but he said it shouldn't be a problem. It sounds like it is a problem to me! So what do you guys think? He also said...

    ‘87 f250 u-joints...

Re: ‘87 f250 u-joints... I always paint witness marks so I can ensure the driveshaft goes back on correctly. I’ve always use a vise to get the joints out but I did pick up a 40 ton press awhile back from PA clearance sale for $200 CDN so I’ll have an excuse to finally use it!

    ‘87 f250 u-joints...

‘87 f250 u-joints... I’m laid up at the moment so I could use a little info. I need new u-joints for my ‘87 f250, 351ci, automatic, two wheel drive. Checked RockAuto and there seems like hundreds! How many do I need? I’d think two, one rear and one front or is there a third? Then of course...

    Ol' Ron

Though I’m not finished my C8BA rebuild yet I’m following Ol’ Ron’s advice. When I asked for input as to which cam to use he gave me the pros and cons for various grinds but he gave me a well reasoned reason to use the one he truly thought would be my best choice. I hope he’s in a comfortable...

    ‘86-87 F250 universal joints...

‘86-87 F250 universal joints... I just want to know if they are able to be lubricated. Mine are making a bit of noise so before I replace I want service if possible.

    Bomb Cyclone

Up here in B.C. it was blustery, rainy, the usual November stuff. What’s gets me is the terminology.... the Pineapple Express has now become an Atmospheric River and now we have “Bomb Cyclone”. Rather alarmist I’d say perhaps due to the Hollywoodization of common occurrences?

    Intake manifolds...

Just read that thread and it seems that it would be ok if, as I stated, a PCV was built into it. However a vent in the oil pan has me wondering...,

    Intake manifolds...

Been a long while since I’ve posted but now I have question. Can a pre-war intake be used on an 8BA block. The reason I’m asking is that I have a Fenton 3x2 intake but many say 3x2 is too much and one carb should be blocked off. Other say just run 2x2s and I have another Fenton for a 2x2...

    1956 Ford Customline hardtop

Rare, ‘56 Meteor Rideau Victoria? I’ll be right back.... yep I still have mine stashed in my garage. It needs. Some work but an OT project has taken far too long and my ‘32 5W is pushing to the front of the line! The real bugger of a decision when it comes two the Rieaus is that it could be...

Extra Side trim on 1956 Ford Fairlane?

I find it very hard to believe that “Spring Special” yarn. Just because told his story and had it published in a club magazine proves nothing. To me it look like the rear trim off a four door couple with the long section off a two door... it doesn’t take much skill to bend or trimm SS trim! I...

Proposed New Fordbarn Forum: Non US Ford Based Flathead Era

Well I still think think Non NA Ford’s would be way more focussed. Being that Ford of Canada was founded in 1904 and the very minimal differences between the Canadian Fords and those across the line I think of these cars as North American and non just US.

Proposed New Fordbarn Forum: Non US Ford Based Flathead Era

I believe the idea has merit and support it with one caveat... change the “US” to NA (North American). There are a few idiosyncratic characteristics on our Canadian built Fords so they are not 100% US copies but close enough.

SOS... 351 Water Pump Bolts Placement

I’ve used distilled water in my 50/50 mix for over twenty years. Up to that point I used tap water as our water up here is very soft!
