1 1/2 ton Truck. 157 wheelbase. Need to get the center coupling shaft and tube out. Before I start are there any larger truck guys out there that can go through the process? Does the rear need to be disconnected to pull the rear shaft/ Torque tube back far enough to clear the center crossmember...
Need a rear torque tube and driveshft for a 1 1/2 ton truck. TT is 67 3/4" shaft is 65 1/4" 157 wheelbase. Also need a 42" center torque tube with the ends on it have a good shaft.
I am trying to do the same thing. I can not get the steering shaft loose from the top of the box. everything is removed wheel light shaft and column cover. Sprrayed pb on the shaft at the collar on the box. Does it separate here or do i unblot the cover on the steering box? I just dont want to...
1 1/2 ton truck thanks trying to get the steering column off now. I think if i can figure out how to get the column off the box I can rotate the box and get it out. Have the column drop off and the clamp off at the steering box but cant get the column off the shaft.
Can anyone please give me some insight on how to get the steering box out for rebuild. The box hits the motor as the pitman shaft is still bound by the frame. Thanks.
